Waiver of Appeal

Question of the Day:

How long is an appeal time for a divorce, and how do you waive this? Is it worth it to waive it, or wait for the appeal time to run? – Cody

Answer:

Cody: Check the rules for your court but in my jurisdiction it is thirty days. There is a form both parties sign to waive the appeal period. It is up to you whether to waive or not but most parties in an uncontested divorce wish to waive the appeal period.
