Reducing Child Support?

Question of the Day:

If my exhusband is fired from his job will he be able to have the child support reduced? If he just quits can he get it reduced? If he does get fired and gets it reduced and finds another job making less money, will the child support be based on his new salary? – Mitchell

Answer:

Mitchell: He can petition the court to modify child support if circumstances change through no fault of his own. The court can impute income to someone who voluntarily makes less money.
