A SMARTER DIVORCE uses a team approach to enhance the mediation process. The co-mediators, Joan M. Weiss and Douglas Cohn, bring a combined 40 years of experience in family law litigation and mediation to help you.
At A SMARTER DIVORCE we understand that a divorce is more than a legal separation. It is also a financial and emotional separation, and it affects the children as much as it affects the adults. The team approach of A SMARTER DIVORCE encourages the involvement of financial and child development specialists when appropriate. This method gives you the information necessary to reach the best resolution possible.
A SMARTER DIVORCE’s open and cooperative team approach allows you to reach the best solutions while saving you time and money and minimizing emotional stress.
What is Mediation?
Mediation is a method of resolving conflict with the help of a neutral facilitator. The goal of A SMARTER DIVORCE mediation is to aid the parties in resolving all of their disputes themselves without the need for costly litigation. A SMARTER DIVORCE mediation addresses all parenting and financial issues in a non-adversarial setting. Mediation allows you to keep control of the process and develop solutions to your situation that are unique and best for you. Mediation can also help you establish a framework for addressing future disputes which arise during child-rearing years.
