Attorney Deborah R. Eisenberg’s family law practice offers a variety of services to clients in the areas of:
- divorce
- legal separations
- premarital agreements
- child custody
- child support and visitation
- paternity
- modifications of existing custody
- child support and alimony orders
- collaborative divorce
As a lawyer, Deborah Eisenberg’s primary objective is to vigorously protect her clients’ interests while helping to ease their transition to their new family units. She is experienced in settling divorce cases both inside the courtroom – by pursuing litigation – and outside – through the negotiation process. Attorney Eisenberg has completed advanced training in collaborative divorce, a non-adversarial option for divorcing spouses who wish to have legal representation, but stay out of court.
To help preserve her clients’ premarital assets and fair share of assets acquired during the marriage, she uses her extensive experience and knowledge of Connecticut case law in litigating and settling divorce cases. When necessary, she consults with financial professionals, including accountants, financial advisors, business appraisers and security brokers.
Deborah Eisenberg is a lawyer committed to providing excellent legal representation to her clients, always remaining mindful of their needs to preserve sibling, parent and extended family relationships, as well as to develop stable relations with blended families. Her breadth of experience allows her to provide her clients with not only insight into the legal and economic aspects of divorce, but the emotional aspects, as well.
She recognizes the unique emotional needs of each client and responds accordingly, often working in collaboration with their therapists and other mental health professionals, to achieve the client’s goals. With the client’s interests in mind, she is available for evening and weekend appointments upon request.
Attorney Eisenberg generally limits the Family Courts in which she practices to Hartford, Rockville, Middletown, and New Britain so that she can better maintain current knowledge of local practices and judicial tendencies.
