Welcome to Holistic Divorce Solutions...
a new approach to divorce!

We offer a unique approach to the difficult process of divorce. Divorce is never easy. It is hard to know where to go for answers. You may not want to tell anyone you are even grappling with this decision. We provide a private sounding board that can help clarify your goals. We can refer you to expert divorce professionals and coach you through your process.

My coaching approach is different from many others in that I use my expertise and experience as a former Superior Court Mediator and Child Custody Evaluator to help show you your realistic options. My goal is to be an agent of reality. My approach is honest and I may not promise you the moon, but I can guarantee you it is better to have a realistic but very supportive coach from the onset. I cannot tell you how many people tell me they were confused about their divorce proceedings. They do not know what happened or how they came to the outcome they did. I am here to prevent this. Your understanding of the process and participation in every decision is key.

Divorce Coaching, Child Custody Mediation, Parenting Support and Education

As a mother of three and with fifteen years of experience as a mediator, counselor, coach, parenting educator, I get it. I know how difficult life can feel. I will help support you by helping you decide what is best for you after you are familiar with all of the possible options. I will not tell you what to do; you are the adult and the parent. I will help you to discover a path that is right for you and your family.

I know it is best for everyone to spend less time litigating in the courts. Do you know a litigated divorce can cost $150,000? A collaborative divorce $40,000? These are real numbers. I know that money is, in most cases, better left in the hands of the families that initially earned it. I also know our courts are over-crowded and judges see many cases in front of them, as many as 2,000 per year. Even the best judge cannot always know what is in your best interest. He or she simply does not have the time.

Coaching: A New Way to Help You in your Divorce Process

As a Divorce Coach I provide you with support, as well as up-to-date unbiased information about how divorce works. I have worked in family courts and have provided judges with expert testimony, so I have an understanding of the courts that few others do. I will help you:

  • Find an attorney
  • Proceed "In Pro Per" if you so choose (representing yourself without counsel)
  • Participate in a collaborative divorce
  • Participate in a mediated divorce

You may just be thinking about divorce and wondering what it would look like. I can help you find out what is best for you based on your unique situation. Yes, you can also consult an attorney, but in my experience some attorneys may tell you what you want to hear. For example, I have had many clients tell me their attorney advised them to file for sole legal and sole physical custody, yet the other parent was active and healthy. This does not make sense to me. In my experience, most judges support children in spending time with both parents if both parents are capable and positive.

Sometimes when we are going through a divorce we think of all the negative points of our spouses. I understand this and it is part of the way we are able to go through the divorce process. But a bad spouse does not necessarily equal a bad parent in the eyes of the courts.
