As the fallout from his divorce settled, Bob Deal sat down with his son, Braydon, for a heart-to-heart talk. Like many children of divorced parents, the youngster had hoped that his father and mother would someday get back together again. Deal not only gently set him straight, he also opened the door on another possibility: That dad would eventually date -- and might even marry -- another woman.

In the five years since his divorce, the father has dated several women. His ex-wife, who has joint custody of Braydon, has remarried.
