David P. Morgan
A cum laude graduate of the University of San Diego School of Law, David is a partner at Law Firm of David Paul Morgan, PLC. He practices Family Law, Criminal Law, Bankruptcy, Litigation, and Estate Planning.
From 1987 to 1996, David was a member of the Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps, serving as a Special Assistant United States Attorney for Civil and Criminal Litigation and the Director of Liability Claims and Litigation for the Department of the Navy. He was assigned as a litigation counsel to the United States Department of Justice, assisting in the investigation of, and acting as counsel for, the defense of the United States in such cases as the Tailhook Affair, the USS Iowa explosion, and more than 500 varying hospital and nursing home malpractice, toxic tort, EPL, and aviation crash cases.
Before law school, David was a Navy Surface Warfare Officer, serving on multiple float platforms. He has seven children, one dog, more than 5,200 skydives, in excess of 1,000 open water scuba dives, and competes with his wife in cross-country mountain bike races.
