Delilah Knox Rios, Attorney at Law, was born in Springfield, Ohio, and is married to Pedro W Rios-Rodriguez, recently celebrating their 26th wedding anniversary. They have two children, Franchesca Amanecer Jane Cortez, age 23, and Mark Anthony Rios, age 22.  Having lived in Diamond Bar for over 25 years, she has been a member of the West Covina Chamber of Commerce, Walnut Chamber of Commerce, and the Diamond Bar Chamber of Commerce. She is Past-President of the Diamond Bar Chamber of Commerce and serves as a board member/Past-President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce, San Gabriel Valley.

A Certified Family Law Specialist, State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization, Delilah Knox Rios has been a practicing California attorney for over 28 years, sworn in on May 30, 1980. She is also admitted to the U.S. District Court – Central, Eastern, and Southern Districts of California. She received her Bachelor of Science in Law degree in 1978 and her Juris Doctor degree in 1979, both from Western State University, College of Law. Her law practice encompasses family law, real property, small business, civil, wills, trusts, and estates. She is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of California, Los Angeles County Bar Association, San Bernardino Bar Association, Riverside Bar Association, and East West Family Law. She is also a member of the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

In addition to extensive litigation, she practices Alternative Dispute Resolution. She has been a certified Mediator for over 14 years and is a Collaborative Family Law professional, a member of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals and the Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association, as well as local practice groups – Collaborative Divorce Solutions Orange County and a newly forming Inland Empire Collaborative group. She is also a member of the Association for Conflict Resolution, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and the Southern California Mediation Association. She has been described as a “social worker in lawyer clothes.”

As a member of the Bar, Delilah has volunteered professionally in many capacities: Temporary Judge in San Bernardino and Los Angeles Counties; volunteer for the Volunteer Lawyer Project of the State Bar of California Board of Governors; Panel Attorney at the Pomona Superior Court; mediator for Claremont Dispute Resolution Center; and has served on the panel of real property/family law mediators for Los Angeles County Superior Court. She holds a lifetime Community College teaching credential and has taught Family Law and Wills/Probate at San Bernardino Valley College.

She has been honored with a City Tile and a Business of the Month Service Award from the City of Diamond Bar. She was named a Woman of Influence by Inland Empire Magazine and was honored as 2007 Woman of Achievement-Law by the YWCA San Gabriel Valley.  Best “at home” in a library or a bookstore, her avocation is fiction writing. She enjoys books, music, dancing, plays, and movies.
