Resolving Family Conflict Through Mediation

Ending a relationship in the courtroom can be unnecessarily expensive, time consuming and adversarial. Mediation takes a different approach by treating divorce as a problem to be solved, not a battle to be fought. Naylor, Williams & Tracy, Inc, offers mediation services as a practical and cost-effective alternative to the courts. Our goal is to help you find the most creative and mutually beneficial solution for your dispute.

As mediators, we serve as impartial third parties in negotiations. The mediation process provides a safe and respectful forum for you to discuss and manage your problems. You participate in and control the process. We will help you share information, identify interests and goals, explore options, and negotiate a mutually acceptable resolution.

This may be accomplished in one meeting, or it may take several meetings. You may need to reach interim agreements while working on a long-term solution in future meetings. You may attend with or without attorneys. However, since we as mediators do not give legal advice to either party, you may wish to have an attorney review any mediated agreements before they become court orders.

There is no limit to the types of conflicts which willing parties can mediate. Common family mediation topics include:

  • Premarital planning
  • Cohabitation agreements
  • Separation agreements
  • Dividing assets and liabilities
  • Paternity
  • Child Custody and Co-Parenting
  • Visitation and Time-Sharing
  • Child support
  • Support alimony
  • Managing changed circumstances
  • Guardianship
  • Probate
