Firm Overview

Bendure & King is a Wayne county law firm dedicated to client satisfaction. With a sophisticated understanding of the changing legal environment, Bendure & King is positioned to protect its clients’ interests. The firm brings a valuable perspective and proven track record of experience to those clients that demand tenacious, compassionate, and dedicated legal representation.

At Bendure & King, we combine the resources and technology of a large firm with the friendly, personal service of a small firm. We appreciate the trust our clients show in us, and continuously strive to obtain the best possible outcome in their cases.

The family law attorneys at Bendure & King represent clients with all types of family law issues, including divorce, child support, child custody, legal separation, post-judgment issues, and domestic violence.

While we have experience with many types of cases, we believe that a concentrated firm often produces better results for clients. We therefore focus our practice on what we know best and what we do best.

We also believe that it is crucial for an attorney to establish a close working relationship with his or her client. At Bendure & King, absent unforeseen circumstances, the attorney you begin working with will see your case to the end. Your attorney will keep you informed about your case. Your attorney will do everything possible to create and foster a positive and effective attorney-client relationship. You can also expect that your attorney, not a law clerk or paralegal, will draft your pleadings, research your case, and prepare for court appearances.

Our Family Law Focus

The vast majority of our clients first come to us with family law issues. Because of our concentration in family law matters, we understand how difficult and draining this process can be, and approach your issues with the compassionate professionalism they deserve. We aptly handle a variety of family law matters, including those involving:

• Divorce
• Child support
• Custody
• Parenting time
• Domestic violence
• Paternity
• Family law appeals
• Spousal support
• Property settlements

The Collaborative Approach

At Bendure & King, our philosophy is collaboratively whenever possible and aggressively whenever necessary. We believe that a collaborative approach to family law issues, a respectful and client-empowering method that focuses on children, is usually the best approach. Heather has been trained in the collaborative process and is a member of both the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Recognizing the Emotional Burden

Even the most amicable divorces have a significant psychological impact on the majority of our clients. We understand the emotional and psychological impacts of family law disputes and make every effort to treat your case and the issues that arise in it with the sensitivity it deserves.
