Irene Garvey is a New Hampshire State Certified Marital Mediator (CMM #84) and founder of Abenaki Mediation Services with offices in Grafton, Carroll and Belknap Counties, New Hampshire. She holds a Bachelor of Science and has six years of experience in divorce/marital, environmental, family, and workplace mediation.

Mediation Experience
Irene provides various mediation services in New Hampshire including divorce, separation, parental and family, environmental, educational, work place, real estate, and contractor mediation.
Irene has successfully mediated numerous cases in her practice as a sole mediator as well as in collaboration with co-mediators. Irene is currently contracted with the Carroll, Belknap, and Grafton County courts as a court appointed mediator in New Hampshire. She is also a certified small claims mediator and a contract federal occupational health mediator.
Irene has also provided conflict resolution workshop training to families in Carroll County and is a Certified Juvenile Diversion Panelist.

Lastly, in July 2002 Irene successfully completed a sixty (60) hour supervised internship in Divorce Mediation during co-mediations of divorce and post-divorce cases with Dr. Olivia Ruel. Dr. Ruel has a Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Mediation, is the Chair of the New Hampshire Marital Mediator Certification Board, and is the Director of a New Hampshire based Certified Training Program.

Irene grew up in a large Irish family in the Boston area and has resided in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire since the early 1980s. She currently lives with her husband Todd in Bristol, where they spend as much of their free time as they can outside.
