What is Mediation?

Mediation is privately guided decision making, away from courtroom pressures.To achieve a fair settlement of all issues for a divorce or separation, a mediator-lawyer helps both sides to resolve all problems in a comfortable setting, and in an informed and consensual manner. 

We offer a consultation at no cost to explain the mediation process, the cost, and to help you decide if mediation is the most effective way for you to terminate your relationship.

• We also assist unmarried parents and domestic partnerships.
• Decisions are your own for parenting of the children, allocation of assets and liabilities, spousal and child support.
• Decisions will be based on full disclosure of all property, assets, debts, and earnings.
• Valuations are made of all assets such as pensions, businesses, or real estate.
• A complete and written understanding by both parties of all necessary facts is the result and the basis for a judgment to be filed with the court.

Since 1984, I have had over 200 couples come to my office for mediation, some for premarital agreements, some for changing their relationship within marriage, most for dissolution of marriage through my process of guided divorce with proven results. That guidance provides safety through parenting plans, support issues, valuation of all property interests.
