COLLABORATIVE LAW ADVOCATES®

Collaborative law is a different way to divorce. The parties, and the attorneys, agree from the beginning not to litigate. The only court filing will be those documents required by law to be filed such as the Petition and the final Decree. There will be no motions, or contested hearings.

Information will be exchanged voluntarily and quickly. If needed, other professionals such as financial planners and family counselors will be asked to collaborate with you and your lawyer to address the best interests of the children and the highest priorities of you and your spouse. Your family, friends, employers, and neighbors will not be called to testify against you or your spouse. Your children will be spared the trauma of an emotional contest between their parents. You will put the children first, your worst emotions aside, and dissolve your marriage with integrity, privacy and dignity. Your privacy, in both your personal and financial matters, will be maintained by the use of the collaborative law process. In addition, and importantly at a time of transition, it will be much less expensive than a contested divorce.

Collaborative Law Advocates® is dedicated to providing you quality legal representation with the best interests of yourself and your children in mind. Both Mr. Peck and Mr. Pickens have over twenty years of legal experience, in and out of the courtroom. They have seen from experience what a contested, litigated divorce can do to people and families. They will assist you in resolving your divorce through the collaborative law process but if your spouse refuses to participate, they will provide effective litigation representation for you.
