Family Law Practice
Becker Legal, P.C. has experience in all areas of family law, including divorce, custody, shared parenting, child support, spousal support, sophisticated property settlement, juvenile matters and personal protection orders. We have experience in advising our clients with respect to proceeding before the family courts in Michigan as well as in filing appeals to the Michigan appellate courts when necessary.
It is the goal of Becker Legal, P.C. to minimize the stress inherent in family law matters and to reach a negotiated settlement rather than place the client in costly and stressful litigation. However, in those cases where the parties are unable to reach an amicable resolution, we will vigorously represent our client to reach a fair and equitable result.
Lori D. Becker, J.D., M.B.A.
Lori D. Becker is President and Managing Partner at the law firm of Becker Legal, P.C. that bears her name. She has experience in both Federal and State Court. She has large firm experience in Product Liability Defense Litigation but has chosen to open her own firm to better meet the needs of her clients. Dealing with other attorneys is not her idea of practicing law. Aiding in the success of her clients is what matters most.
Miss Becker also has five years of experience as a pharmaceutical sales representative with a large pharmaceutical company. She received a B.A. in Political Economy in 1992 from James Madison College at Michigan State University. In 2000, she received a Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy Graduate Business Program.
In addition to her professional activities and affiliations, Miss Becker is a 24 Hour Crisis Intervention Volunteer for HAVEN's First Response Advocacy Program. She provides emergency support to domestic or sexual assault victims and their families in Oakland County. Miss Becker is also a volunteer as an Adult Mentor for the Youth Group at Holy Name Catholic Church in Birmingham, Michigan. On a personal note, Miss Becker is an avid hunter, golfer, traveler and adventure seeker. She is a member of both Hunters’ Creek Hunt Club in Metamora, Michigan and The Huntsman Hunt Club in Dryden, Michigan. She is also a member of Safari Club International.
