Description of Practice
Locations in Brecksville, Beachwood, Westlake, and Akron. Evening and weekend appointments available. Laurie has mediated approximately 500 cases and has received specialized training as a parenting coordinator to deal with high conflict cases. Laurie is effective at reducing conflict in high conflict cases and in helping amicable couples stay amicable. She mediates divorce, parenting, family, employment, workplace, and small business disputes. She serves as Guardian ad Litem in Summit and Cuyahoga County Domestic Relations Court. Laurie has served on a task force for Judge Kathleen O'Malley of Cuyahoga County DR court to increase the use of mediation, and has served on the Summit County Parenting Coordinator task force to increase the use of parenting coordinators.
Professional Background
Laurie has been an attorney and mediator since 1997. As a parenting coordinator, she received specialized training to deal with high conflict cases. As a guardian ad litem, she makes recommendations to the court regarding custody and visitation for minor children.
