Linda K. Wray
A Problem-Solver and an Advocate.

Linda K. Wray is an experienced Litigator as well as Collaborative Law attorney and Mediator. She has a client centered family law practice in Edina, Minnesota, focused on finding cost-effective and creative legal solutions for clients. She strives to preserve the dignity and values of her family law clients while providing effective representation through the legal process.

Linda works extensively with each of her clients to identify his or her needs, priorities and goals concerning parenting issues, financial issues and property division:

Parenting

With an undergraduate degree in psychology and her work with children in a variety of settings prior to her law career, including St. Joseph’s Home for Children, Wilson Psychiatric Residential Treatment Center for Adolescents and as a teacher in public schools, Linda understands the impact of conflict on children. She works with her clients to explore the legal ramifications of using or not using custody labels and provides them with the option of developing a parenting plan providing a detailed description of each parent’s ongoing role and responsibilities with the children, tailored to her client’s family’s needs and interests.

Financial Issues

Spousal Maintenance - Linda is skilled at using financial tools to assist her clients in accurately determining their ability to pay and/or level of need for financial support. If you will be paying or receiving spousal maintenance, Linda will work with you to develop creative solutions to provide for your financial security.

Child Support - How to financially support children once the marriage ends can be a difficult issue, and one that may require an innovative rather than traditional solution. Linda outlines a variety of options for her clients from traditional child support, to upward or downward deviations from traditional child support, to expense sharing arrangements tailored specifically to her client and their family.

Property Division

Linda assists her clients with thinking creatively about how to allocate real estate, business interests, retirement plans, investment accounts and other property so as to maximize the value being distributed and achieve her client’s goals. Linda is experienced in working with financial professionals regarding valuation of assets, including businesses and retirement accounts, and determining an optimal distribution.

Linda was selected as a Minnesota Super Lawyer in 2003 and 2004. She has extensive training and experience in negotiating favorable results for her clients going through divorce or involved in other family law matters. For those cases that cannot be settled, Linda’s thorough problem-solving approach and experience as a litigator over several years of practice have enabled her to achieve desirable outcomes for her clients in court.

Linda’s clients include both women and men, and come from all walks of life. She has represented nurses, psychologists, accountants, sales executives, attorneys, small business owners, teachers and homemakers. In all cases, she strives to find cost-effective processes and solutions that meet her client’s needs, interests and goals.

She serves the seven counties of the Twin Cities metro area: Hennepin (Minneapolis, county seat); Anoka (Anoka); Carver (Chaska); Dakota (Hastings); Ramsey (St. Paul); Scott (Shakopee); and Washington (Stillwater).
