Mediation makes it possible to get separated or divorced and still keep yourself, your spouse, your children, and your savings intact

FREE CONSULTATION

We offer a free consultation to discuss the benefits of mediation and the mediation process. You will have an opportunity to voice your concerns and have your questions answered so that you may determine for yourself how mediation can work for and benefit you and your spouse.

Meryl Fishbone, Esq., spent many years handling litigious divorces and realized there had to be a better and less destructive way for couples to separate. She realized that too often, the financial and emotional costs incurred by these couples and their children were too high a price to pay to dissolve a marriage. Litigation would lead to unnecessary anxiety and animosity, and in the end, all too often it was the judge who determined the couples future, rather than the couple themselves.

By choosing mediation, you and your spouse can separate for a fraction of the cost and in a fraction of the time of litigation, allowing you to get on with your life and spare your children the harmful and emotional scars that usually accompany litigation. You and your spouse, with the assistance of a trained and neutral mediator, will determine your family’s future.

She received her training in divorce mediation at The Center for Mediation and Training, where she participated in a practicum, and at The Center for Mediation in Law. She is a member of the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York, the New York Council on Divorce Mediation, and the Association for Conflict Resolution. She is a member of the New York Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Westchester County Bar Association, where she serves as co-chair for the Lawyer Referral Service and the Membership Committee.

She can understand first hand the challenges that lie ahead for divorcing parents and can empathize with all the mixed emotions those challenges bring. She can provide insights in order to help divorcing parents raise well-adjusted and productive children together, post divorce.
