The San Diego Family Law Practice of Michele Sacks Lowenstein
Our Family Law Office is an experienced, and top-rated firm of attorneys with roots and long standing ties to the San Diego area.
We represent clients in finding solutions and resolving the often difficult and painful problems arising in personal relationships. We offer particular skills in the field of Collaborative Divorce Law (No Court Divorce), and when children are involved in a separation or divorce, situations that benefit from a calm and steady negotiation. We help find solutions that minimize bitterness, protect children, and reduce the erosion of net worth that is so often a part of divorce proceedings.
When you consider divorce you must consider the issues of child custody, child or spousal support, separating and dividing assets held as community property, and more. The options available to you in family law include mediation, negotiation, collaboration, and litigation. We are committed to providing our clients with all the options, the choices, and guidance followed by action and support for the best resolution possible.
About Our San Diego Law Offices
Our Mission
We believe in educating our clients and providing options as to the different methods which exist for dissolving their relationships dealing with property distribution and the shared parenting of their children. We work with our clients to assist them in determining the arena best suited to resolve the outstanding issues in their matters; taking into consideration their emotional as well as their financial goals and objectives. For most people, a divorce will be the only experience they will have with the legal or court system. Divorce can only be granted by a state court and is, therefore, State involvement in very personal matters.
For a small minority of people this will mean court involvement with a traditional litigated divorce or custody dispute when they are unable reach agreements and must then depend upon the court to make decisions on their behalf. It has, however, been our experience that when the option is provided the vast majority of people will choose to resolve their differences with little or no court intervention. We are able to assist clients in resolving their issues through either a cooperative or collaborative divorce which empowers people to maintain their own ability to make decisions in the privacy of a conference room without giving that power to a judge and airing their grievances in a public forum.
