Mary McNeish Stengel, MSW, LCSW-C
I have worked with families and children for 25 years. My areas of expertise include treating trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, attachment disruption, child abuse, and neglect. Many of these factors converge in a divorce. By teaching couples how to apply effective communication and conflict resolution skills and working with them to develop child-centered co-parenting plans, parents and children are able to move through the transition of divorce in a way that is healing to them.
The decision to engage the collaborative divorce process is a courageous one that requires doing the difficult emotional work up front so that children and adults can benefit in the long run. I am passionate about tapping into my collective experience in these areas to be a resource to collaborative teams and to the couple who have chosen this dignified and respectful path.
