Divorce and Family Law
Divorce can be, and often is, one of the most painful and emotional issues one will ever face in life. Attorney Mary L. Teczar provides competent and caring legal counsel during this most turbulent time.
If you have been served with a divorce summons, or are contemplating filing for divorce, you need to discuss your legal options with a lawyer who will listen to your concerns and goals and will assist you throughout the legal process.
Many divorce actions result in a mutual agreement between the parties. This agreement may not be easily reached and oftentimes requires strong legal advocacy. Attorney Teczar believes in zealous representation of her client's interests, with an eye toward trial but with a goal of reaching a mutually agreed to settlement.
When a family separates through divorce, issues can arise regarding the care and custody of minor children. The parties may request, and the court may order, an investigation into these issues by a person certified as a Guardian Ad Litem. Attorney Teczar, herself, is certified by the Massachusetts Probate & Family Court Department to serve as a Guardian Ad Litem. Through her training as a Guardian Ad Litem and her own life experience raising her own children, Attorney Teczar understands the challenges and rewards of parenting.
Attorney Teczar represents clients in all aspects of divorce and family law including:
- Divorce
- Child Custody
- Child Support
- Spousal Support (Alimony)
- Removal
- Modifications
- Contempts
- Restraining Orders
