The Negotiators is a full service mediation company, based in metro Atlanta, dedicated to providing dispute resolution services. Our professionals are experienced mediators and negotiators, well trained in mediation, facilitation, reconciliation, and dispute management services. Our expertise addresses the specific needs of both our individual and corporate clients.

For our individual clients, we have specially trained mediators specializing in matters such as divorce settlements, family/parenting difficulties, landlord/tenant disputes, diversity issues, and problems with neighbors, among many others. Equally important, we understand the often extreme emotions associated with personal disputes and the impact such disputes can have on the entire family and the other areas of your life.

To our corporate clients, we offer mediation expertise in resolving issues pertaining to labor relations, grievances, quality complaints, public policy disputes, and organizational conflict. We also handle investigations, client/customer focus groups, and international negotiations, and can act as a third-party ombudsman.

All Negotiators are registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution and are trained facilitators, project managers, and mediators. We are trained in domestic violence abuse, the new child support guidelines, and the new parenting plan legislation.

Divorce/Family Mediation

Next to the death of a loved one, divorce is the most stressful and painful time in one's life. Dealing with anger, the potential loss of your home, dividing your assets, and child custody issues certainly doesn't help. The Negotiators can offer you the opportunity for a more positive, mutually agreeable settlement that will hold, without continuing hostilities, so that you can again face the sunlight.

About Us:

Pete Desrochers

Pete Desrochers is the Founding Director of The Negotiators. He has been a mediator and negotiator for over 10 years, including international negotiations in over a dozen countries on four continents. However, he is probably best known for his published articles on stress, personal relationships, and conflict. A strong proponent for settling divorces and domestic issues out of court, Pete believes that gentleness and compassion can only come from strength, endeavoring to provide a safe, friendly environment to resolve even the most volatile disputes. He is equally comfortable in corporate boardrooms, standing before international tribunals, or resolving children’s problems. Pete is a collaborative law practitioner and a syndicated social commentator in both the United States and Canada.

Robin Thumann

Robin is a civil, domestic and juvenile mediator in private practice, affiliated with alternative dispute resolution programs in county courts throughout Georgia.
