Welcome to the web page of Priscilla Mahoney, LICSW and thank you for your interest. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and a Certified Mediator with 19 years of experience working with families, children and couples who are dealing with life stressors, emotional conflicts, family crisis and life transitions.

I hold two Masters Degrees from Boston College in the Mental Health field and have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals and out patient treatment. In my role as a Social Worker and Therapist, I have often assisted clients in pro-actively resolving internal and external problems with which they are faced to find a positive solution.

In addition, I am a trained mediator in both general and divorce mediation. I have also volunteered as a Mediator in the Woburn small claims court. My area of specialty is in family, relationship and divorce mediation.

How Does the Process of Mediation Work?

Interested parties should contact me at either pmahoneywell@verizon.net or 781-387-0706 to discuss scheduling a face-to-face consultation session. I will also answer questions regarding the fee structure during this initial contact. In general the fees for mediation are significantly less than using litigation.

An appointment will be provided for an initial consultation session. During that session, the benefits of mediation will be discussed, fees, confidentiality, agreement to mediate as well as the issues at hand.

All parties are encouraged to participate fully in mediation. The Mediator will facilitate the session to maintain a neutral environment which fosters constructive and creative solutions to the conflicts or issues of concern.

In the final stages of mediation, an agreement is crafted which represents the results of the negotiated settlement that the parties have reached. This agreement may be filed as a legal contract for the purpose of divorce, separation, family disputes, relationship pre-nuptial agreements, or co-habitation agreements, or parenting plans.
