McNair Petroff, LLC is a growing regional law firm with its main office in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. McNair Petroff, LLC has future plans for expansion into the greater Cleveland area. The firm represents individuals, sole proprietorships, family businesses, public sector entities, non-profit organizations, and corporations of all sizes. The firm has a regionally known domestic relations practice. Although domestic relations is the historic foundation of the firm, the extensive litigation experience in that discipline has led to a selective expansion of the firm's other practice areas such as criminal defense and a healthy general civil practice.
McNair Petroff, LLC practices domestic relations law throughout Ohio. The partners in the firm are well known for handling large and complicated domestic relations cases. The firm's family law practice areas include divorce, dissolution, child custody, domestic violence, support issues, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDRO's), marital settlement agreements, and equitable property division. The firm regularly handles these matters in the common pleas and appellate courts of Ohio and the Ohio Supreme Court.

Attorney Profile
Ronald R. Petroff was born in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated high school from the University School in Hunting Valley, Ohio. He attended Vanderbilt University as an undergraduate where he earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science and American History. He graduated cum laude and was a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Mr. Petroff then attended The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law where he earned a certificate in Alternate Dispute Resolution and was a member of the National Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Team. Mr. Petroff also was a member of the National Trial Competition Team. Mr. Petroff also earned a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his perfect score in "Criminal Law in the Boardroom."
Prior to law school, Mr. Petroff worked for the law firm of Thompson Hine as a litigation assistant. It was through this experience that he developed a passion for law. During law school, Mr. Petroff was a summer associate in the Columbus office of the law firm Buckley King. He also clerked for the Honorable Kathleen M. O'Malley in Federal Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division.
Mr. Petroff is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, and the Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. Petroff is also a member of the Anti-Defamation League and the Columbus Jewish Federation. Mr. Petroff limits his practice to family law, real estate, and criminal defense.
Mr. Petroff is admitted to practice in front of all state courts and agencies in Ohio, as well as before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
Mr. Petroff is fluent in Russian. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on all of Cleveland's professional sports teams, as well as his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. Mr. Petroff also enjoys spending time with his wife, Natasha, and their English Bulldog, Cammy.
