San Diego Catholic Divorce Healing Ministry
The San Diego Catholic Divorce Healing Ministry (DHM) is a local support group offering hope and healing during and after your separation or divorce. We meet every other Tuesday evening at St Luke's Catholic Church from 7 to 9 pm. We offer a effective 13-week DVD "program of recovery" entitled, DivorceCare (at no charge). You can start and end the program anytime. We encourage participation of all faiths.
We provide group sharing, speaker meetings and other valuable resources to help answer your questions:
- What is the Church's position on divorce today?
- Can you still receive the sacraments after a divorce?
- Can you remarry in the Church without an annulment?
- How long does the annulment process take and how much does it cost?
- How should I treat my former spouse who was unfaithful to our marriage?
- Where can I find the right legal representation, spiritual advisors, counselors and other professionals who can help me through this complex process?
Let us help you get the answers to your questions so you can gently and prayerfully close this chapter of your life ...and move on to what God has planned for your future.
Nobody wants to end a marriage that can truly be saved. Yet, The Church recognizes sometimes it is not possible to reconcile a marriage. In fact, many individuals discover years later that their marriages were never valid in the first place. The Church is here to console you and walk you through the painful process of separation and divorce. We invite you to join us.
