Thomas P. Finley, Jr., Attorney & Counselor at Law is a solo general practice law office providing a wide variety of quality legal services to clients in the areas of Family Law and Business Law in Dallas, Ellis, and Tarrant counties.
The law office mission is to combine integrity, common sense, and old-style personal service with a solid commitment to meet the client’s legal needs.
Thomas Finley has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1986. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in 1983 from Baylor University and received his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) in 1986 from Baylor University School of Law.
Divorce and Family Law
Thomas Finley represents individuals at fair and competitive rates in family law disputes such as divorce; child custody; property division; enforcement and modification of custody, child support, and visitation; and marital agreements. He understands that clients involved in family law litigation want and need aggressive but compassionate representation while utilizing all the tools and options available such as trial, mediation, arbitration, and the “collaborative law divorce”. Collaborative law is a process where both parties and their respective attorneys attempt to negotiate divorce terms through a team approach and without litigation.
The Texas Family Code contains most of the laws which govern divorces and other family law matters in the State of Texas. A helpful article of “What to Expect in Texas Family Law Court” can also be of assistance to clients in understanding the process.

Thomas P. Finley, Jr., attorney and owner of the firm, is a well-respected member of the legal community and the community where he lives. He has been practicing law for more than 19 years in Dallas, Texas and surrounding counties and has built his firm primarily on referrals from clients, accountants, financial planning professionals, and other attorneys.
