1) What is alimony? 2) How is the amount calculated? 3) Where can I find these factors? 4) Are there any guidelines like judges use in child support cases? 5) Can alimony be paid in addition to child support? 6) Then how come I've heard about child support and alimony both being paid? 7) Why? 8) How does this provide more money for the custodial parent? 9) I have heard cases of "lifetime" alimony. Under what circumstances would this be awarded? 10) What is "long-term"? 11) What about men? Can they seek alimony? 12) My original divorce judge did not provide for alimony. Now I really need it. What can I do? 13) My "ex" threatens to file for bankruptcy. What happens to my payments? 14) What if my "ex" is delinquent in alimony payments. What do I do? 15) That sounds complicated, and I can't afford a lawyer. Will the state agency collect my back alimony?
