Carroll Straus has practiced law for 24 years. During much of that time she was engaged in a personal journey which took her in to realms of self improvement, communication skills training, transpersonal psychology and healing, wisdom traditions and spiritual growth.

In 1997 she became a Baha'i and has continued to seek truth in books, seminars and study circles. Her credentials include 36 hours of training in multiple modalities of energy healing, 30 hours of mediation training, 24 hours collaborative law training, numerous speaking engagements at legal and conflict resolution fora (the proper Latin plural of forum!) and seminars with such forward thinking scientists and healers as Dr. John Hagelin, Pete Russell, Larry Dossey, M.D. Caroline Myss PhD , Bruce Lipton, Swami Beyondananda (Steve Bhaerman), Bernie Siegel M. Late in 2005 she realized that the Family Law system offers no help for a large number of those caught up in its outmoded, oppositional, reductionistic system of "conflict resolution" by verbal/legal combat. Since then, she has made it her aim to avoid divorce as it is currently done in court, and even mediation or collaboration - and provide coaching and direction to those who must deal with the unacknowledged trauma of a legal battle. Her own life lessons, which include childhood trauma and divorce, have provided both the impetus for the healing journey, and the store of lived realities that healing can come from within each of us-if we can find support for our souls during the "dark night." She now provides what one healer calls "spiritual CPR" for those who have realized the way to peace of mind within the adversarial process can only come from within.
