Mackenzie attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she received her B.A. in English literature and psychology. She then attended the University of Toledo College of Law in Toledo, Ohio, and earned her Juris Doctor degree.   

Mackenzie is currently licensed to practice law in Illinois. She has worked in law firms predominately focused on family law and is currently an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Tedone & Morton, P.C. Throughout her time practicing, Mackenzie has dealt with a variety of divorce and family law issues, including property division, child custody and parenting time, spousal support, paternity, and post-divorce modifications.
