Question:

I have a child with my husband.  We are going through divorce and we have a house together.  Would the judge award me the house? – Mary

Answer:

Mary:  It is not usually the case, but it is possible depending on the facts of your case.  In my state, the judge can award use and possession to the parent with primary custody for up to three years, or award the house to a spouse in certain circumstances.
