Question:

My husband is a prescription drug addict for 4 years he takes upwards of 60 Percocet per day which he admitted to our counselor.  My attorney refuses to bring it up in court and my husband has been brought to court on contempt not paying alimony.  He is now in contempt again for the same reason I cannot afford another attorney, what can I do? – Dawn

Answer:

Dawn: The elements of an alimony contempt case are that there was a court order, it was violated, the violation was intentional.  The drug addiction is a side issue.
